         TALISMAN EU  SERVER RULES!!!
                                                                   MUST READ

Below is a list of the rules in overview. They have been split into three categories to reflect their triple purpose.
All rules are included for a reason and all rules should be regarded as mandatory.
Each rule is further explained, you will find precise details of what the rule means and why we have it, and likely penalties for breaking the rule.

Category 1: Abuse of the game

These rules are designed to protect the game itself from abuse and exploitation. This means the server itself and everything to which the client has direct access. That is everything which you ever see on screen, and all content. The importance of this category cannot be stressed too much. This category, and thus the rules within, protects the environment without which the other two categories could not exist.

1a. Do not exploit bugs with the intention of giving any player(s) either an advantage or disadvantage over any other player(s), harming the game economy, or otherwise disrupting the game.

Examples
There are many ways in which such issues may be exploited, but what is important in considering whether this rule has been violated is not the act itself, but the intention behind that act; what was done is not necessarily the issue, but why was it done.
The flip side of this rule is that players are encouraged to report bugs and other problems.

Penalties:
First Attempt : Ban Account (2 days) (Warning)
Last Attempt : Ban Account (permanent)

1b.Do not trade TOE accounts/items to other online games. Or in other online games to TOE accounts/items.
Selling items (except donate items) using real money or mobile load is not prohibited,
But we are not responsible for any scam issue, do so at your own risk.

This is very straightforward. In fact, so straightforward is it, it maybe defies further description.

Examples
Some examples of prohibited behavior under this rule include:
A. player shouts out that he/she is trading accounts in TOE to other online games.
B. Two players (A & B) agree that if A gives B his TOE items and B will give A some items/currency in another online games.

Penalties:
First Attempt : Mute 5 min (Warning)
Second Attempt: Ban Account (2 days)
Last Attempt : Ban Account (permanent)

Category 2: Abuse of the community

It is recognized that the community of players is vital to TOE. Therefore this category of rules exists. This category, and thus the rules within, protects the players of TOE, both as individuals and together as a community.

2a. Do not pass on personal, real life information about another player in either public or private communication without that player's express permission
If any player tells you something in confidence, respect that as you would in real life and do not spread it around unless they give you permission to do so.
At the same time, think before you give out personal information about yourself to another player -- how well do you really know this person? how upset would you be if this information did become public knowledge?

Examples
In situations where the player has not made information public:
Player B shouts: I live in Quezon City
Player A tells player B: Ooh, player C lives there at 25 Katipunan Ave. Extension.

Penalties:
First Attempt : Mute 5 min (Warning)
Second Attempt: Ban Account (2 days)
Last Attempt : Ban Account (permanent)

2b. Do not engage in alt theft or other alt trickery
An alt (short for alternative character) is technically any of the characters controlled by a player with more than one character. In practice such players usually have a main character as well, although this is really just a term of convenience.

Alt theft
The phenomena of 'alt theft' is specifically not tolerated.
At its simplest level, this is where a player creates an alt, steals an item or money from another player, and then transfers the stolen property to their main.
Other alt trickery
Other alt trickery would include creating alts for the purposes of deception, impersonation, or causing offense.

Alt theft can be very difficult to investigate and detect. Therefore if the OWNER think that a player has been engaged in this, it is on that player to prove their innocence to the satisfaction of the OWNER. To the victim of alt trickery must send details and evidences such as SS or Video.

Penalties:
First Attempt : Ban Account (2 days)
Second Attempt: Ban Account (permanent)

2c. Do not discuss other games in public or advertise other games in public or private communication

Primarily the rule is concerned with advertising other PS/Online Games in TOE and messages such as 'this game is rubbish'. However within that allowances are made for topic drift and freedom of opinion/expression.
Freedom of opinion/expression is always a delicate subject. In the context of this rule we are thinking about intelligent and constructive criticism as opposed to useless rants and bad-tempered vents. For example, comments such as 'I don't like X because of Y. A better way to do it would be Z' will be better received than comments such as 'this game sux!' Nevertheless, even the first comment is not really appropriate for in game chat and you will likely be asked to post your complaint/suggestion to the forum instead.
While we have no desire to censor players private communication, (such as, /friend and guild chat) there have been determined attempts to circumvent this rule in particular by sending out bulk unsolicited tells advertising other games and misusing guild/friend chat for the same purpose. Such advertising is specifically prohibited under this rule.

Examples
Player A tells Player B: You should come play this really cool new game called (Name of Game) Its so much better than TOE.
Player C shouts: This game is rubbish. I'm leaving to go/quite and play Other Game (Name of Game)
Player D: Hey, try our new server.

Penalties:
First Attempt : Mute 5 min (Warning)
Second Attempt: Ban Account (2 days)
Last Attempt : Ban Account (permanent)

2d. Do not 'spam' the public or private communication channels
There are two main forms of spam seen in TOE. The first is broadly defined as a message which, by way of its presentation, attempts to draw undue attention to itself. This includes frequently repeated messages, very long messages, and messages in all capitals, that use symbols to represent letters, that use excessive punctuation, or that use excessive repetition within a single message. The second is comparable to the Unsolicited Commercial Email spam with which unfortunately nearly everyone must be familiar. That is, a message out of the blue advertising or otherwise promoting some product or service. Specifically, this includes messages enticing players to try out another game or server. While advertising of other games/servers is specifically covered by Game Rule 1f the advertiser will also be penalized under this rule.

Penalties:
First Attempt : Mute 5 min (Warning)
Second Attempt: Ban Account (2 days)
Last Attempt : Ban Account (permanent)

Category 3: Abuse of the rules

The final category, while of no lesser importance than the previous two, essentially exists only to link those two. This category, and thus the rules within, provides a solid basis for the existance.

1a. Respect the OWNERs, ADMINs, GMs and their decisions.
This does not mean you have to love, or even like, individual OWNERs, ADMINs, GMs . Nor does it mean you have to agree with their decisions. However, it does mean you have to respect their positions and their right to make those decisions.
In a similar way, suggestions of features for the game and other development issues are not appropriate for in-game discussion. Rather, such discussion should take place in the forum where, amongst other things, the debate is recorded permanently, is accessible to those not online at the time, and more detailed and considered input can be made by both players and devs.

Examples
Player A tells OWNERs/ADMINs/GMs: How dare you ban me? Thats stupid. You're wrong and my friend says so too.
Player B shouts: I can't believe how long its taking for the stupid developers of this game to make new stuff...
Player C. shouts: I don't like this - its all those developers that don't know anything.

Penalties:
First Attempt : Mute 5 min (Warning)
Second Attempt: Ban Account (2 days)
Last Attempt : Ban Account (permanent)

2b. Do not make false claims to be a OWNER, ADMIN, GM or member of TOE_Staff.
Never say you're a OWNER, ADMIN, GM or member of TOE_Staff unless you actually are.
This includes logging in with a character name including "OWNER", "ADMIN", "GM" or member of PTO_Staff or similar.

Penalties:
Ban Account (permanent)
